I can never ever pick a favorite anything. Something in my personality just compels me to have options. I can narrow it down to three, though. Blackbird, The Fool on the Hill and Dear Prudence. I grew up with the Beatles. They're one of the first bands I ever recall knowing the name of and some of the first music I remember listening to. It was the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Buddy Holly, Don McClean, Gordon Lightfoot. These were the records my parents owned, which my father would routinely put on. When I was younger, I could sing along with all the songs from Jesus Christ Superstar and Tommy at least. And I was always disappointed when the radio stations weren't playing the music I wanted to hear. When my mother bought the Beatles: Rock Band for me for Christmas last year I played it all the way through on the microphone the same night and beat it. My musical tastes eventually expanded and now I sort of devour anything I can get my hands on, but I'll never forget the Beatles aka my first music love.
