Not a Fun Birthday Present

I arrive home today to find a letter wedged between my door handle and the door. My rent is going up. I can either sign another one year lease and pay $605 a month (an increase of $30 a month) or stay on the month-to-month plan and pay $645 a month (a $70 increase). There is no way I can make the second one work. I can make the first work (especially since my new position in the company means an extra $30 a week before taxes), but I'm not happy about it in the least.

So I'm going to kick some ass in Warhammer and try and straighten up more for my birthday party.

Son of a bitch. They pulled that on me, too, and I ended up having to move. Landlords need to be kicked in the head for this crap.

I have to make my decision by November 1st. There's no way I can move in a month's time. Not with my work schedule. The fact that I just switched positions means that I'm at the bottom as far as getting time off approved. If they had given me advanced warning, I would probably move. As it is I'm between a rock and a hard place.
