To begin with things we have to start with Thursday night. Time has just moved backward a little. During Freshmen year of college I said that I was not going to dye my hair again. Thursday, I dyed it. It looks really nice, though. It's a nice bright red color, none of that purple-red I used to use. I'll take a picture and post it somewhere sometime soon, hopefully.
Friday I went to Liverpool with Rose, April and Kate Minty. The train ride was awesome. We talked to Leroy and Brandon (fluffy haired) for about three hours because they were going to the Lake District and had to ride our train for a while. After they left we still had about 2 and a half hours but we kept talking and they went by really quickly. We got into Liverpool around 1:30pm and started to walk to our hostel. After arriving at our hostel, April, Kate and I took a three and a half hour Beatles tour. (Rose had already been on it so she declined another go.) The tour was awesome, though. We saw all this cool Beatles stuff like where they were born and went to school. I was on Penny Lane and I touched the gate to Strawberry Fields. Oh, it was like heaven. Actually, it was like a Beatles mecca. It was fantastic.
After the tour we met Rose at the Cavern Club (a place that the Beatles played at over 300 times). From there we got dinner at Burger King and then hung around in the Cavern because it was free. They taught me poker and we played cards until the dancing started. I had fun dancing for a while but then they started playing music that made me homesick. Then it got really loud and I had to keep my hands over my ears so it wouldn't hurt too terribly much. We left around 1:00am. The greatest thing about it, though, was the fact that Ghost of the Robot is going to be playing there on June 14th of this year. That's James Marsters (aka Spike of Buffy) band. I got three pictures of the poster.
Saturday we got up at 9:00am and left the hostel. From there we walked to the Albert Docks and took pictures of the Yellow Submarine and I bought a lot of stuff. I bought a number of things for my dad because I really do think that he'll enjoy them. I also bought stuff for myself. Then Rose wanted to go take more pictures of the Cavern Club so we walked back to Matthews Street. I almost stole the Ghost of the Robot flyer. Now I wish that I had and I'm willing to pay ten pounds to anyone who will go get it for me. Hell, I may go back and get it myself sometime. Just a day trip to steal something and then come back.
Then we spent almost six hours on the skaniest train in the world. It was so freaking dirty. It was awful. We were all so tired and getting cranky but we managed it. Of course the train couldn't go right from Liverpool to Grantham. That would be way too easy. Instead we had to ride to Peterbourgh and then catch another train to take us back to Grantham. It was annoying but we finally got home around 7:00pm.
I haven't done much except homework for the rest of the weekend. We have a British Studies test on Wednesday and I have presentations to give on Wednesday and Thursday. I should also start working on the BS paper. Corey, what exactly am I supposed to do for this fucking thing?
