Homecoming
Apr. 25th, 2003 03:45 pmThere was very little studying done for the BS final, maybe an hour perhaps an hour and a half but that's the most. Of course since I had started packing around the 10th I just had to throw a few more things in and then move the bags down to the main floor. Wasn't much to do after that except hang out with people. Went to the Bistro Good-Bye party at 8:30pm, got pretty tipsy as otherwise I would have been crying. What basically happened was that I gave Brandon around 15 pounds and just let him buy drinks for himself and for me. I ended up having about 5 Breezers and he had around 7 beers. (While going to the bathroom in order to "break the seal" I saw one of the girls fall off the pipes. For one, I don't know how she got up there. For another thing, she fucking bounced off the floor and I would not like to have been her head the next day.) Then we signed the pipes. (My inscription reads, "Sara Kasari Spring `03 Oral Fixation.) Just once, though. I took a picture. This was around eleven or so. Final check-out occurred at 12:15 and then we all just sat around and waited for the Dining Hall to open so we could have breakfast. I had water in the hopes of curing the "I'm no longer drunk" headache I had coming on. It worked until it was time to say goodbye. Rachel started crying, then Brandon was crying. I specifically told him, "You're the boy. I'm supposed to cry." Then I did about five minutes after I had gotten onto the bus. Haven't cried since. I think I got it all out there.
So we spent forever in the Heathrow airport and then to the O'Hara airport and then to the Louisville airport where Chris picked me up. Now I'm home. Typing on Goliath for the first time in ages. It's great. Unpacking is going slowly.
Rachel, I know you won't get this for awhile but I hope you and Brandon are having fun in Greece. I love and miss both of you.
Corey, I'll give you a call sometime soon just to say hey.
Rachael, I've got a little something to send you that's bigger than a postcard. I love and miss you, too.
Jen, I hope you get home alright.
Everyone else, well you can't all expect to get a personalized message.
