Why is my mother hard to shop for? I mean, really, I can usually find nice, meaningful gifts for all of my weird, eccentric friends (sorry, guys, but you are), yet my mother continues to baffle me.

My sister buys her jewelry, which is nice but something of a cliche road if you really think about it. So no jewelry. I've done the "Here's some soap you might like route" already. (She didn't really care for bar soap so I got her some Mistral body wash. Haven't heard anything back about it yet.) CDs, DVDs and books are the route I usually take but that's kinda blase as well.

Which leaves me back where I began in a dilemma as to what...Oh. I could get her that stuffed Vincent Van Gogh with the removable ear. That's more my style. Or...maybe some Van Gogh artwork to put around the house. Hmmmm...why is my mother the hardest person I know to shop for?

ETA: I could buy her replacements of some of the Star Sign books she had before Gary burned them. Problem is that I don't remember which ones she had. Those or maybe some of the Native American books she had. I believe those all got burned too. (Fucking bastard from hell.)

Final Fantasy X is weird.

No, seriously. It's like whoa...advanced graphics and the world map is hard to move around in because I'm used to my old school graphics rather than this Doomesque style. So it's a lot of my running Tidus (I'm really getting tired of blond FF boys) into walls and things because I'm not sure how he moves yet.

ETA: Also? Weather: Stop being cold. It's not funny anymore.
