Jan. 2nd, 2006 08:16 pmMy father and I are lovers of bread. We'll try about any kind. Wheat, honey wheat, pumperknickel, marble rye, rye, etc. It is for this reason that every time I tried Atkins at school it went mightily downhill once I got home. Because, quite honestly, there is always bread here. Yummy bread and things to put on it. Bagels and home made and rolls and loaves. I live in a plethora of grains.
Well, occasionally we get extra adventurous. Like the time in England I got a sandwich on this sun dried tomato bread, which reminded me of Corey. And the couple of times I've had Berry Wheat, which is interesting.
So the other day, we bought this Poppy Seed and Hazelnut bread. I finally tried it. It is...odd. No, that's too benign a word. It crunches. It munches. It ensures that I cannot pass a drug test for a few weeks. It is wholly unappetizing as bread. There are large pieces of nut that make you go, "Oh, holy god, I'm eating that people bone bread the giant wanted to make" because there are these crunches that bread should not have.
It is honestly very disturbing.
And I will not be eating anymore of it.
