Real life to do list for myself for today.

• read over new material e-mailed to me
  
• pick out outfit for Wednesday
  
• print copies of resume to take
  
• get a list of references together
  
• read over material
  
• get quarters together for parking meters
  
• *let everyone know that I'll be gone for the day Wednesday but should be back for night shift
  
• get deposit ready for bank
  
• check on boy after his surgery
  
• work on not getting my hopes up too much
  
• stop feeling guilty about considering quitting current job--as per request from selderaya
  
• go to doctor at 2:30pm
  
• take a look at apartments on Rent.com

I may or may not get anything on this done before I leave tonight, but I'll try.

Skill List

According to the documentation that was sent to me (assuming I'm reading it correctly) they're going to be interviewing me for two possible jobs tomorrow. They're close to the same thing but not exactly.

Required Skills:

• good analytical skills--I'd like to think I do, but I'm not sure
  
• good research skills--I'm all over this one
  
• good decision making skills--This one kinda concerns me
  
• good communication skills, including active listening in order to ensure understanding--I think I'm pretty good at this
  
• technologically savvy--I'm something of a computer geek
  
• share and use knowledge to improve business results--Maybe?
  
• good at organizing and managing multiple projects and/or priorities--I'm like the queen of multitasking
  
• financially minded--What does that mean?
  
• interpersonal skills--I have a number of people who call Blueriver who want to talk to me. I have been told that I'm very good and professional on the phone, and I know Craig has gotten compliments regarding my performance because he's told me so. Still I doubt.
  
• Excel--Not so much. I've used it before, but I barely know what makes the damn thing tick.
  
• problem solving skills--Let's put it this way: I can't solve my problems, but I can probably help you solve yours.

As a side note, Panic! at the Disco rocks. I'm so glad I went ahead and bought the CD.

Feeling like a Grown-Up

I just got a call from one of the apartment places I e-mailed last night. *dances*

Sara is so excited now.

It sounds like a nice place, and I was all, "Let me find out about the job and call you back about seeing the apartment/filling out an application."

ETA: Another one of the maybe four or five places I e-mailed just e-mailed me back. I'm still waiting to hear back from the ones that came with washers and dryers in the apartment because that would be sweet, but of the two I've heard from so far I like the first better. Why? Because she called me. That means a lot.
