Jul. 25th, 2006 10:26 amThere's nothing like getting into work and before I've even been at my desk for ten seconds, being given a list of more shit that I'm expected to do. On top of keeping up with topo, scheduling and assorted fair shit. So fucking tired of this shit. I don't mind being given tasks. I do mind being given tasks that all need to be done at the same time and then having people ask me why things aren't done yet.

If you knew me in person, you would know that...
1. I fidget. I talk with my hands. I play with my hair. I shift. I crack my knuckles. If I'm wearing jewelry, I cannot leave it alone. I play with my glasses. If we're good enough friends, I can be touchy. Arms, shoulders, knees, hair. I'll fix your shirt tag so it's not sticking out. I'll rearrange your shirt or your hair.
2. I tend to look up at the ceiling or chew my lip before I answer a question. Or both at the same time.
3. I run my tongue over my teeth constantly. It's an old habit from when I had braces.
4. I'm also not as nice as I am online. I'm more sarcastic and I make snarky comments. I also tend to use large words. Not for any kind of effect or to show that I'm better than anyone but because large words and my mouth just tend to go together.
5. Social situations make me awkward. I get quiet and distant and tend to try and disappear.
6. I hate crowds. Hate them. If I go to a crowded restaurant and it's nice outside, I want to wait outside. Crowds simply exacerbate the social situation problem.
7. I have to have things. I collect things. CDs, movies, comics, books, jewelry, perfume oils, pictures. Practically anything and everything I can get my hands on.
8. I type with two fingers, one on each hand, but don't have to look at the keyboard most of the time. Just an occasional glance to see where my fingers are sitting. Because of this, my hands are constantly moving and not in the dreaded carpel tunnel way.
9. I like even numbers, especially numbers divisible by four.
10. I like to send people things and make things for people and buy things for people. Mostly because while I'm really good with money, I don't like it. If I can spend money on people and make them happy, then I'm happy.
