The Suckfest Continues
May. 17th, 2008 11:15 pmMy roof is leaking.
I was doing the laundry and stepped on a suddenly wet patch of carpet, which prompted me to open the door little closest that contains the heater/air conditioner system. I found water. Lots of water. Water on the floor, water dripping, water that had soaked into the ceiling tile causing it to hang down wet and loose. Water everywhere.
I dug out the papers from the apartment complex and called the non-emergency number. Disconnected.
I try another number. Not even an answering machine. Just a message to call the emergency number in the event of a maintenance emergency, which I haven't decided whether this is one yet or not. So I've put down towels and am keeping an eye on it and have stopped washing dishes or laundry or using unnecessary water in the event that I'm exacerbating the situation. If it looks worse tomorrow, I'm calling the emergency number.
