Took the Writer's Guild fliers to English Novel today and passed them out. I gave Michael Lewis, the editor of this year's SLG, one with a smile and a friendly, "You've got competition." He proceeds to tear it up while staring at me. Then throws it away and continues to stare at me. I felt the urge to rip his head off.
EDIT: In addition to this, as if that weren't enough, Culbertson wants us to have 5 secondary sources in a 5-7 page paper. What the fuck. Where doesn she expect them to go? If you add in that much outside info, the paper has to be bigger than that, especially if she's going to expect us to be as in-depth plot summary as she wants again. Whatever. I am so glad to be getting away from this English Department nonsense.
