Everything You Should Be, You're Not Yet

dreamcatchingsI'm afraid I might be getting another cold. I've been sneezing most of yesterday and today, which is usually the first sign of a cold for me.
Oh, so much fun.
In order to counteract my frequently pessimistic outlook on life--which is less of a continual thing and more of a balancing out all the perky people in the world thing--here's something I'm excited about (and a little nervous, but it wouldn't be me without the fretting, now would it?): apartments.
I picked up an apartment guide and am hoping to take next Monday off in order to go looking at places.
Which means that I probably won't be hauling my ass down to Evansville. (Much apologies and &hearts to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
chickwithmonkey as I seem to be disappointing and canceling plans with everyone lately but this is happy part of post so we're not getting into that here.)
So I opt to have a plan. Nothing long-term but short-term would be nice. Here's the short-term one, dripping with optimism:
1. Get new job.
2. Move into mother's for short period of time so as not to kill her.
3. Find apartment.
4. Get apartment.
5. ...Gimme a sec. Oh, okay. Enjoy new job and apartment.
However, this does mean that there must be a great purge. Of books and clothes and things I just generally do not need to keep. *whimpers*
