I am feeling a little blue.

Some friendships seemed to have been stretched to their breaking point, which I always react to as being my own fault whether it is or not. Work stresses me out. I feel unwanted, unappreciated, unheard and disrespected. I feel like nothing, and it hurts. Actually, there are quite a lot of things that make me feel like nothing and that hurts.

So it's New Year's Eve, and I'm alone. It's rot.

I think I'll make tea and watch Torchwood and then spend tomorrow doing things like RPing and maybe writing some fanfic.

And maybe, y'know, trying to figure out some things.

I firmly believe in the healing power of tea (and Torchwood, which I always giggle about since it was described to me as "CSI: Cardiff, but with more gay alien sex"). But I thought I'd leave a little something to encourage you for the new year. It's one of my favorite quotes by Neil Gaiman.

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."

OMG. I love Torchwood. I seriously cannot understand why anyone would give it bad reviews. The stories are engaging, the characters are awesome and, yeah, every single character seems to be willing to have a same sex snog. It's just fun.

Ah. Thank you for the Neil quote. &hearts
