[livejournal.com profile] timberwolfblues and I decided to have our weekend early so we headed up to Seymour after work last night. Our plans had originally included a movie, but the theater wasn't playing anything we wanted to see so we just wandered around the Outlet Mall. I got a cool address book (to replace the skanky Wal-Mart one) and a cookbook with way to many recipes for fish both for $10. Then I headed over to the Claire's where I found a lovely present to send to [livejournal.com profile] eldritch. Yay!

I went to both Goodys and Fashion Bug in search of some new clothes and struck out at both locations. Goodys had ugly, over-priced fare. Fashion Bug had some nice jeans (and tops with a one-way ticket to fashion hell) but none of the ones I tried on fit decently so I opted not to spend money on clothes. Then it was on to Staples where I fell in love with a 100GB internal HDD on special for $65. I put it on the credit card (along with a bag of Starbucks coffee because I've been promising myself I'd try it and whoa, Starbucks coffee at a Staples? Omen).

As a note, the new Burger King chicken fries taste like ass. Don't say I didn't warn you.

And then today I spent $22 on two CDs from Aware Store because I'm a sap for free shipping and these were two CDs I can't get from Amazon or YourMusic.

So I've spent a healthy amount. Well...actually, when you consider it, I didn't spend as much as I could have. Only $32 came out of the bank account as the $79 for the HDD and the coffee is borrowed credit card money and dinner was coupons for free Whoppers and the rest of my cash. (We won't talk about the $31 for Scrubs and then the $29 to Amazon because, really, don't I deserve to treat myself now and again.)
