If Your Life had a Face, I Would Punch it
Jan. 20th, 2011 11:04 pmWhelp, the snow finally got here, and it's all soft and fluffy and cold and stupid outside. So I'm inside and have already made the eggnog, the queso and started some laundry. Not a bad start to the weekend so far. I'm also rewatching Torchwood. I seriously need to put a Ianto/Jack icon up stat because, well, they rock like a rocking thing.
I've also started reading Scott Pilgrim. No spoilers but I have to say that so far I like the movie more. The comics flesh out the characters and provide back story, but they also seem sort of scattered and jumbled. The plot doesn't flow as well. It feels clumsy and staggered. Plus Scott is a total d-bag in the comics. He's much more likable in the movie, but that could simply be because it's Micheal Cera who is basically the human version of an overgrow, sad-eyed puppy. I've pretty much enjoyed everything of his I've seen other than Paper Heart, which was equal parts terrible and boring as hell.
